A machine that rocks or is not level will vibrate and bang in the spin and may show unbalanced load errors. It takes a few minutes to correct.

What you need

  • A spirit level
  • A spanner or pliers for the lock nuts

Steps

  1. Make sure the transit bolts at the back have been removed (they are only for moving the machine).
  2. Place the spirit level on top and check both across and front to back.
  3. Turn the adjustable feet to raise or lower each corner until the machine is level.
  4. Rock the machine diagonally by pushing down on opposite corners. If it moves, adjust the foot that lifts.
  5. Tighten the lock nuts against the base of the machine so the feet cannot turn.

If the floor itself flexes, a board or anti-vibration pads may help.
